That's what the message said anyways.

Three Days ago I received a memo from Hiraeth Hotel, Room 2021.
It was signed "J," but J has been missing for 2 years now...

J was, is, my significant other, my soul mate.
I haven't seen her since that fateful incident two years ago.
We had decided to meet at Station AFS-1 at 16:36 to ride the
Hover Tram into City Central for our two year anniversary.
I arrived almost an hour early and sat nervously at the stations benches,
trying to keep my trembling hands from clamming up.
The clock struck 16:34, and there was J walking towards me on the platform.
I still think about how beautiful she looked in that moment...
She walked next to me and laid a kiss upon my cheek as I bowed, and
we entered the tram towards our destination.

Rain beat against against the window like a circle of drums as we held on another
for the duration of our ride...
We arrived, stepped off the tram car,
and headed towards the neon lights of the city...

Our first stop was for sukiyaki at VTL5, then we went for drinks at Android 93;
we even went to a last-minute show at Holo Plaza Stadium.
It was the best night I had even spent; I only wish it could have lasted.
Midnight struck, signifying the city's curfew..
We sighed then turned to one another.
Pulling each other close, we kissed beneath the stars before heading back towards the tram
and off to our suite reservation at Hiraeth Hotel;
we decided to grab one more drink at Android 93's on the way...

As we boarded the tram car, the alcohol must have begun to set in because I felt myself
become very light headed. I found it hard to keep my head up as we sat in our seats...
J told me things would be alright and just to rest my eyes, and she would wake me up
once we arrived at Hiraeth...
However I awoke in Hiraeth the next day - alone ...

I ran to the main lobby and asked the hotel clerk where the person I had checked in with had gone,
but I was told I had checked in alone.
I went to the Tram Station, and explained what had happened, but after an in-depth search,
was told that there were no scan records of J's riding the Hover Tram at any poin in time.
It didn't make sense. I had ridden the Hover Tram with J twice that day;
how could there be no record?
In a panic, I fled to the Police Station to file a report, but in a city this big,
a missing persons case is rarely even looked at, so filing a report did nothing.
We have no surviving family, and most of our friends have become distant.
There was no one in our lives to reach out to.
With nowhere to go and no clues at hand I stepped outside, fell to my knees, and wept...
I stayed there for eight hours before finally picking myself up and walking into the city
to find J.

For the past two years I have spent every waking minute, every waking hour, searching.
I have roamed the streets day and night in search of anything, any clue that will
lead me closer to what happened.

I'd do anything to be with my love again.

I'm in front of Hiraeth Hotel now though, ready for whatever it is that awaits me.

J.... could you really be here?
